So I decided to write another related article and share some ideas on how to wear over-the-knee boots over 40.
There will be outfit ideas that are currently trending and definitely are appropriate for your age.
I just want to say one thing. Since I don’t have a model over 40 I am sharing images from Pinterest.
But seeing the slim women in the image doesn’t mean it won’t look good on your body. The main thing here is to get an idea and use it with your own clothes.
Copy the style formulas and try them on your body. I am sure you are gonna love all of them.

How to wear over-the-knee boots over 40
Midi skirt and a long cardigan
High and over-the-knee boots look the best with midi-length clothes.
So what you can do is style knee-high boots with a midi or short skirt and a blouse. Use a long cardigan as a layer piece.

This is an outfit that you can easily dress up or down. You can do it by choosing the classy or casual top (and/or cardigan).
This is the article for women over 40 but women of any age can wear most of these outfits.
Oh, and I want to mention another thing.
Age is only a number for me and it should be the same for you. I am just mentioning the actual age because you guys are searching for outfit ideas with these words.
That’s the only reason. Other than that, I don’t think you need to strictly follow any style rules to create a stylish look.
Now, let’s get to the second idea you can try.
Blazer dress
I mentioned above that thigh-high boots look great with midi dresses and skirts.
But I personally think that they look the best with short dresses (skirts).
And so for the next idea, I want you to try a blazer dress with over-the-knee boots.
Blazer dresses are so popular right now.
Although I am not gonna lie, blazer dresses are not for everyone.
I have a pear body shape and I don’t love how they look on my body. Hips and thighs are the widest part of my body. So, they don’t look great on me.
But if you have those slim, long legs you MUST try it on your body.
Don’t tell me that blazer dress is very short for your age. Just forget and try it.
You need to love your body and feel confident in every outfit because you are beautiful.
Sweater dress and tights
Sweater dresses are another thing that you can style with over-the-knee boots.
It will be a great outfit for fall and winter, when you want to feel comfy and warm but still wanna look stylish in cold weather.
You can layer the outfit with a trench coat, oversized blazer, or a faux fur coat.
This will become a fabulous day-to-night look you can wear anywhere.
Midi dress and blazer coat
It’s time for a more formal outfit.
And for this, you are gonna need a pretty, flowy midi dress and a blazer coat (you can use another coat as well).
Take a structured handbag as an accessory and you are good to go.

This outfit will be the go-to outfit for every day.
It’s a very simple, sexy, and modern outfit that will get tons of compliments.
Basic top and light-wash denim
For another casual look, you can pair a basic top with light-wash denim and over-the-knee boots.
This will create visually longer legs on your body.
You can use so many layer pieces, jackets, and coats for the cold winter season.
For example black leather jacket will do a perfect job here. It will make the outfit look even more casual and chic.

If you want to do so, you should wear high boots with block heels. They look more elegant than the flat boots.

Wearing high heels can visually lengthen your legs and flatter your body shape.
Tall boots do that job perfectly.
Also if you want a blue denim and boots outfit to be classy, opt out for the boots with at least 2-inch heel height.
White jeans and a cropped sweater
For the next easy look, you need to pair that perfect pair of boots with white denim and a cropped sweater.
It will be a good idea if you choose some neutral colors for a whole look.
You know, boots in neutral colors, such as brown (in this case) look even better.
I think I don’t need to talk about how trending oversized sweaters have become in the last few years.
They are not only for the younger generation. They look great for women over 40 and more as well.

Cropped oversized sweaters are another universe.

Plus I am hiding a few extra kilos in dark clothes, you know what I am talking about, right?
You can follow and try this look in different ways.
You can go all-black as I name the outfit or you can wear brown color boots with black clothes and accessories.
If you need a more detailed idea, black skinny jeans a black tunic top and boots are all you are gonna need.
The style of the boot doesn’t matter here. You can never go wrong with all-black outfits.

Forget the age. You are and always be young.
If you want to wear sexy boots, white is a good option for you.

When I think about a comfy winter outfit, the first things I remember are a cozy V-neck sweater and black leggings.
These are the things you are gonna need for the next over-the-knee boot outfit.
And I can’t say much about this.
I just want to say that this outfit looks and feels so comfy for women over 40.
Oversized turtleneck sweater dress and mini skirt
Another chic outfit idea with an oversized sweater.
But it’s a bit different.
For this specific outfit, I want you to try an oversized turtleneck sweater dress with a mini skirt and high boots.
This is the look that you can wear anywhere in the world. And I should say this is my other favorite outfit idea for today.
There are so many options to complete and style this outfit differently.
For example, you can wear a brown trench coat with it.
Or you can use a leather jacket to make it even more modern.
I mean, there are so many ways to make this outfit work for you.
Midi split dress and trench coat
If the winter season is very strict in your country, this next outfit will be a good fit for you.
I don’t want to mention over 40 again and again. But don’t think that I don’t mention your age because these outfits are not for you.
