1. How to choose the right trench coat for winter
Not every trench coat is cut out for cold weather, but with a few tweaks, you can find one that’s perfect for winter.
Look for warm materials
Most trench coats are made from lightweight fabrics like cotton, which aren’t great for winter.
Instead, go for something warmer, like wool-blend trenches or those with quilted linings.
These versions give you the classic trench coat vibe. But most importantly they keep you warm in cold weather.
Opt for waterproof fabrics
If your winters are more rainy than snowy, a waterproof trench is a lifesaver.
These coats keep you dry while maintaining their sleek, polished look.

Classic shades like camel, black, navy, and gray are perfect because they go with just about everything.

There you are gonna find tips and tricks that will help you really create an outfit instead of standing in front of your closet for hours.
I remembered this because there you will find some color combinations that can make a perfect outfit.
One of the tips that I share in that article is that you can simply pair different tones of the same color in the outfit.

They both go with a light-wash denim jeans. That’s the outfit formula of this outfit.

25. Flats + button down + pleated pants + trench coat
This is my other favorite look on today’s trench coat outfit list. Nothing special (that I haven’t talked about yet) but it looks great.
26. Sweater over shoulders + trench coat
A trench coat alone can feel a bit lightweight (depending on the trench coat) for colder days, but layering a sweater over it creates an extra shield against the chill.
Instead of cramming thick layers under your trench, which can feel restrictive, this technique allows you to layer up while maintaining a clean and structured silhouette.
27. Baggy pants + trench coat + heels
This outfit is for those who are in love with neutral tones.
But you know what I love the most in this outfit? – shoes.
Those metallic silver pointed-toe heels add a futuristic and eye-catching pop without overwhelming the look.
There is another very important benefit of them.
Pointed-toe shoes make your legs look longer and thinner, did you know that?
If not, that means you haven’t read my article about looking taller and slimmer. And I think it’s time.
28. Flare jeans + crew neck sweater + trench coat
Flare jeans, a crew neck sweater, and a trench coat create a timeless yet modern outfit that balances comfort, style, and versatility.
Flare jeans elongate the legs and create a flattering silhouette by balancing the hips with a wider hem.
But if you are like me and have wide hips I would recommend you to avoid both mom and flare jeans.
This combination works for a variety of settings:
Casual Day: Add sneakers or flats for a laid-back, everyday look.
Dressed-up: Swap in heeled boots or pumps for a more polished appearance.
And that’s it!
