Cold, dry air can leave your skin dry, red, and disturbed. Use my winter skincare tips to retain your skin`s natural moisture.
Winter can make your skin dry, bothersome, and disturbed. What’s more, it can feel like there’s no way out: Chilly, stormy conditions outside can leave your skin feeling dead, while indoor warmth destroys dampness from the air and from your skin.
Easy Winter Skincare Tips That Really Works – At least for me
Even the things are so beautiful in winter, every woman needs to pay attention to the beauty of the skin. We all know a hot shower is perfect for warmup in cold weather but hot water dries out your skin and makes it stop to produce all necessary natural oils on the face. But here I am to recommend the possible ways out of that difficult situation.
Know what you are eating
Not only outside factors can cause the drying of your skin. You should manage to eat food that contains omega-3 or omega-6. Hydrating your body is a very important part of winter as well. As dermatologists are saying we have to drink at least 5-8 glass of water during a day. It`s not necessary to gulp down several glasses of water in one go. Take small sips throughout the day to ensure your body is hydrated enough.
Limit your shower time and temperature
As the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) suggests to pay attention to your shower time. It`s difficult enough to do that in winter, everyone enjoys taking a long hot shower but if you`d like your skin look better you have to do make it. You should also change your temperature while washing your hands. I mean if your hands are turning red that means water is over-hot. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention washing your hands in cooler water seems to be as compelling at evacuating germs as warm water and is less aggravating to the skin.
Use skin moisturizer – the most known from winter skincare tips
You can maintain healthy skin you have to use a skin moisturizer, especially for your hands. Using a hand cream after each washing can help to keep skin breath. Dermatologists recommend wearing gloves when you are washing dishes or just cleaning a house.
Wear proper pleasant smooth clothing
I know sweaters are very common things to wear in winter. But if you decided to put on a wool sweater, try to add a more natural fabric layer to your skin first. That helo your skin to breathe and don`t look dry. Also, don`t forget to wear gloves on your hands while walking out. Remember to use a pair of gloves that won`t overdry your hands.
Change your wet clothes in time
If you`ve gone out and got unlucky and rain or worse, snowing started you definitely get wet. Wearing wet gloves and shoes can additionally dry your skin and cause irritation. if gloves, socks, and jeans become wet, make certain to change them as soon as possible.
